1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MyChapters ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

MyChapters is a mobile application that allows users to capture short video clips daily and compile them into longer chapters. The App is available as a one-time purchase with an optional cloud backup subscription.

3. User Accounts

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

One-Time Purchase

The App is available for a one-time purchase fee. This grants you a perpetual license to use the App with all core features included.

Cloud Backup Subscription

The optional Cloud Backup feature requires a separate subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled according to the policies of the respective app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store).

5. User Content

You retain all rights to the video content you create using the App. By using our Cloud Backup service, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the backup service.

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Violates any law or regulation
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains malware or harmful code
  • Is obscene, defamatory, or harassing

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and code, is owned by MyChapters and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.

7. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

We are not responsible for any loss of data stored locally on your device. We recommend regularly backing up your content.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYCHAPTERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

If you have an active Cloud Backup subscription, you will have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted from our servers.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MyChapters is incorporated.
